Aksel van der Wal

Aksel van der Wal is Seatwave’s Chief Financial Officer, having joined the company in May 2008.

Aksel oversees Seatwave’s finance and governance activities across Europe.

Prior to joining Seatwave, Aksel was CFO of Vodafone's Global Business Development unit. Aksel joined Vodafone’s Group Finance department in 2003. Initially responsible for the implementation of Corporate Governance and Compliance initiatives, he subsequently assumed also control functions, and most recently led the International Unit’s global commercial strategy implementation and negotiation efforts.

Previously, from 1997 until 2001, he worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers' international corporate tax department in the Netherlands and Venezuela.

Aksel holds an MBA from INSEAD, France, and graduated from Leiden University, NL, with an LLM in international corporate tax law.
