SEATWAVE SIGNS NEW DEAL WITH MICROSOFT DIGITAL ADVERTISING SOLUTIONS

LONDON, July X, 2007: Seatwave, the UK’s largest fan-to-fan ticket exchange, has signed a strategic deal with Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions to become the exclusive ticketing provider to the UK’s Windows Live Messenger user base
The £128,000 deal will run for 12 months. Seatwave will also provide email bulletins to Windows Live Hotmail users in the UK

Through Seatwave, consumers can buy and sell tickets for concerts, theatre, sports and many other live events in a safe and secure environment.

With the existing secondary ticketing market currently already worth around £1 billion in the UK, and between £3.5 - £5 billion across Europe, Seatwave is in a uniquely strong position to capitalise on this market by offering consumers a more transparent and safer way to buy and sell tickets. Seatwave aim to provide a compelling consumer experience to the millions of people who buy and sell events tickets across UK and Europe.

Seatwave will reach the 14 million UK monthly users of Windows Live Messenger with specific phases of advertising activity over quarterly periods including:

• Banner advertising campaign - targeting frequent event goers
• Windows Live Messenger Tab - linking to a Seatwave microsite which offers content on theatre, sporting and music events.

The relationship with Microsoft will also allow the 12 million monthly Windows Live Hotmail users in the UK to sign up for a fortnightly Seatwave newsletter. As well as ticketing, it will provide users with extensive information on upcoming gigs, theatre, music concerts, sports and other live events across the UK.

Commenting on the new deal, James Burgess, VP of Marketing at Seatwave said: “Our partnerships are all about offering customers as much access to information on events and ticket reselling as possible. Windows Live and MSN are two of the most popular and well-known online brands and we are delighted to be working with them in the coming months.”
