SEATWAVE PROVIDES NEW FEATURES TO HELP CONSUMERS BUY AND SELL THEIR TICKETS
“Hook Me Up” and “Invite Friends” Make it easier to get the tickets you want and sell the ones you don’t
London: 3 October 2007: Seatwave, Europe’s largest fan-to-fan ticket exchange, has announced that it has added new industry-leading features providing easier ways for consumers to buy and sell tickets in a safe and secure environment. The “Hook Me Up” and “Invite Friends” features mean Seatwave continues to come to the rescue of long forgotten fans.
Hook Me Up:
“Hook Me Up” allows consumers to register their interest in tickets that may not be presently available in the ticket exchange marketplace. It's rather like having a personal concierge service. This feature helps people find the exact tickets they want at the price they specify for any show on earth whether it's those specific seats at Drury Lane or front row seats for the year's biggest fight in Vegas. If they're not one of the more than 500,000 tickets listed on the site, Seatwave’s ticket specialists will contact a wide network of sources to locate them.
The “Hook Me Up” option automatically appears on the site whenever a person is searching for an event that has a limited choice of seats. Customers enter the types of seats they are seeking and how much they are willing to pay. Seatwave's customer service team will then endeavour to find those tickets and e-mail the customer once they have.
To fulfill these requests, Seatwave has the UK's largest network of pre-approved ticket sellers - so if the tickets exist, chances are “Hook Me Up” will help consumers find them.
Invite Friends:
“Invite Friends” makes it much easier to organise a large group of friends attending the same event. Trying to coordinate tickets for many people to an evening out can be a nightmare. What's more, the organiser is always the one who's left out of pocket when people change their mind at the last minute.
Once again, Seatwave leads the ticketing industry by being the first to offer this much-needed group purchasing scheme. Whenever a consumer books tickets for an event on the Seatwave website, they are asked whether they want to invite anyone else along. If so, they enter the e-mail addresses of people they want to join them and Seatwave will e-mail those people with details of the specific event their friend is attending. Seatwave will also offer a discount coupon to those friends to entice them along. It is a quick and easy way to invite people to come along to a concert or show without the hassle of buying tickets for a large group and following up with each to be reimbursed later.
In addition, Seatwave rewards the original ticket buyer if any of their friends buy tickets by giving them a money-off coupon for their next purchase. So instead of chasing friends to collect the cash, group organisers can now be rewarded for their efforts.
Commenting on the addition of these new features to the Seatwave service, CEO Joe Cohen said: “Being the largest secondary ticket provider in Europe, we’re dedicated to providing consumers with the best possible experience to buy and sell tickets. The potential for this market is huge and one that relies on user satisfaction and positive word of mouth. Event ticketing is a classic monopoly industry in which little innovation occurs. Seatwave is committed to constant innovation and improvement of our service that will benefit all event-going consumers.”
