The Fan-to-Fan Ticket Exchange

PRESS RELEASE

MARK'S NOT THE ONLY MEMBER OF WESTLIFE STRIKING IT LUCKY WITH THE MEN

London, 20 February 2008 – With their UK tour kicking off on Monday, it seems that Westlife are really hitting it off with the…men.

According to Seatwave.com, Europe’s largest fan-to-fan ticket exchange, 20% more men are buying tickets to catch the Irish boy band live in action than their female counterparts.

Surprisingly, sales on Seatwave.com also reveal that gentlemen are willing to pay more for the privilege of seeing the heart-throbs in person, with the average ticket price paid by men standing 5% higher than what the ladies are willing to pay.

Joe Cohen, CEO and Founder of Seatwave.com, commented on the band’s popularity: “Concert tickets in the secondary market really do tell a story. It seems that either a lot of lucky girls received tickets to see the Irish crooners for Valentine’s Day or the boys just can’t resist the appeal of the reigning Kings of Pop.”

Kicking off in Belfast on the 25th February 2008, the Westlife boys will visit Liverpool, London, Newcastle, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Nottingham, before ending up in Sheffield on the 25th March.

The following statistics show secondary ticket market activity for this event on Seatwave.com, the UK’s largest fan-to-fan ticket exchange.
